I offer therapeutic
massage at Just Massage, in downtown Lawrence.
Additionally, I
provide in-home massage for those who would like to leave the
stress of traffic and travel out of their massage experience.
I was born in SanDiego, California and moved to Brussels, Belgium when I was 16, where I graduated from a small Department of Defense school. I came to Lawrence in 1996 to attend KU, where I received a degree in Architectural Studies. I have been living in the Lawrence area since then, and
currently live south of Lawrence, in Lone Star, with my husband,
2 dogs and 3 cats and a small flock of chickens. My husband and I are expecting our first child in late November, 2012.
I graduated from the University of Kansas with a BA in 2000, and
have training as a bookkeeper and small-business
managing. I decided to become a massage therapist after
realizing the stress that office work could cause in my
day-to-day life. I really felt that I wanted to help people,
and make a personal connection with the individuals I was
helping. I find massage relaxing for my client as well as for
myself, and feel at peace while doing massage.
After researching several Massage programs in and near Lawrence,
I chose to receive my training from the Johnson County Community
College Massage Therapy Certification Program. It was a great
experience, and I met many great people (including Jessica). I
am so happy to have had the education I received from JCCC.
